Amish Hex Signs
Amish Hex Signs are a subset of Amish collectibles. Since the Amish still do many things the old fashoned way, there is a strong overlap with Folk Art. It makes for an interesting variety of collectibles.
The Amish Hex signs are normally brightly pained masonite boards that are sold as wall hangings. There may have been some "Hex" related story to them at some point, but now I think they are mainly a tourist item. However, the colors are pretty and I like the pictures, so we have collected a few.
There are not a lot of them for sale on Ebay at the moment, but that could change. In addition, if you like the Amish Hex Signs, many of their quilts and other handcrafts incorporate the same motiefs.
